Hey Love, can I sit with you for a moment?
If you’ve been carrying the quiet weight of anxiety or depression—while still trying to hold on to your faith—I want you to know you’re not alone.
Some days it feels like even simple things take so much energy, and the gap between what you believe and what you feel grows wider.
This isn’t a space for quick fixes or clichés. This is a safe corner where you can exhale, rest your soul, and gently remember: God hasn’t let go of you. Not for one second.
How Anxiety and Depression Can Quiet Your Faith
Sometimes anxiety looks like replaying conversations in your head on a loop. Or waking up with a racing heart before your feet even touch the floor.
Sometimes depression looks like the victory being just brushing your teeth. Or holding it together all day in front of others, only to collapse in tears behind closed doors.
And sometimes, it’s the numbness. You’re functioning, yes — but feeling distant from yourself, from others, and even from God.
Here’s the truth I need you to hold onto: you’re not broken. You’re carrying a lot. And God hasn’t let go of you for a second.
One Woman’s Story: When Faith Felt Heavy
At this point, you might be wondering, “Okay… but what does this look like in real life?”
Let me share a story with you.
Maya is one of my dearest friends. She went through a season of deep heartbreak—a divorce she never expected, the kind that quietly shook her faith.
Everyone around her thought she was fine. She smiled at church. She led worship. She checked in on other people.
But behind closed doors, she was exhausted. The kind of tired that sleep doesn’t fix.
What helped her slowly start to feel like herself again?
Not a big miracle moment. Not some grand comeback.
Just a few tiny, honest things:
She started writing out raw, unfiltered prayers in a notebook—no punctuation, no pressure.
She played her favourite worship song every morning while brushing her teeth.
She let one trusted friend know, “I’m not okay right now, but I don’t want to be alone in this.”
She stopped hiding from herself—and let God meet her right there in the fog.
Some days she only had enough strength to pray, “Jesus, please hold me.”
And that was enough.
She didn’t bounce back. She rebuilt. Softly. Slowly. With God holding every piece.
The Silent Struggle: You’re Far from Alone
And if you’re still wondering whether anyone else feels like you do, the numbers speak for themselves:
In the UK, 37% of women report high levels of anxiety, but up to 42% keep it hidden from even their families, and 36% don’t share it with a healthcare professional.
In the US, nearly 1 in 4 women (23.4%) experience an anxiety disorder each year, and among teen girls, the number rises to 38%.
Globally, women are almost twice as likely as men to experience anxiety and depression.
Yet only 1 in 4 people with anxiety receive treatment—meaning the majority suffer silently.
But behind every statistic is a real woman with a real story.
One shared with me, “I know God is real, but sometimes I can’t hear Him over the noise in my head.”
Another admitted, “I didn’t realise how much I was pretending to be okay until someone hugged me and I broke.”
These numbers don’t define you, but they do remind us: your struggle is not strange, shameful, or rare. You are not alone in this battle, even if it sometimes feels that way.
FAQ: What If I’ve Been Stuck for Years?
Maybe this isn’t just a hard week or a heavy month. Maybe you’ve been walking with anxiety or depression for years — and it feels like you’ll never climb out.
Here’s the truth: you are still deeply loved. Healing isn’t always fast, and that doesn’t mean you’ve failed. Sometimes the slowest seasons become the most sacred ones.
Every day you choose to breathe, show up, or whisper a prayer through cracked voices — that is movement. That is growth.
God hasn’t forgotten you. You haven’t missed your moment. He is still writing your story.
Why a Soul Reset Matters on the Hard Days
Anxiety and depression try to steal so much — your peace, your energy, your confidence, even your voice in prayer. But God is a restorer.
Scripture reminds us:
“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” (Psalm 147:3)
“The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” (Exodus 14:14)
“I will restore to you the years that the locust has eaten.” (Joel 2:25)
A “soul reset” doesn’t mean everything suddenly feels easy. It means giving yourself permission to pause. To release. To let God meet you right where you are — not where you think you “should” be.
A Soft Place to Start
If you’re wondering where to begin, I created a free Soul Reset Checklist just for women like us — those rebuilding after a storm, craving peace, but unsure where to start.

Gentle Prompts for When Faith Feels Heavy
When anxiety or depression press in, it’s easy to feel like you’re letting God down. But hear this: God is not mad at you for feeling low.
Jesus said, “Come to me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28)
Not hustle. Not performance. Not “just think positive.” Rest.
And sometimes that rest looks like laying your head on the pillow at 2 PM. Or turning off your phone. Or crying into the pages of your Bible.
When you’re ready, here are three soft prompts to help you process with God — no pressure, just presence:
What part of me feels unseen or unheard right now?
When was the last time I felt peace in God’s presence?
If Jesus sat beside me today, what would I want Him to know?
No rushing. No fixing. Just honesty — and the gentle reminder that even here, even now, you are held.
Simple Daily Practices to Anchor Your Soul in God’s Peace
When the days feel heavy, tiny rhythms can help you reconnect with God’s steady presence:
Whisper one raw, honest prayer — no filters, no fancy words.
Read even a single verse, and let it sit with you all day.
Play a worship song that soothes your spirit while you cook or drive.
Text a trusted friend: “I just need prayer today.”
These aren’t rules. They’re reminders. Small touchpoints to help you remember: you don’t carry this alone.
You Are Still Her — and You Are Healing
Sweet friend, I know grief and loss can make you forget who you are. I know anxiety can whisper that you’re too broken to be used by God. But neither of those things are true.
You are still her — the woman God chose on purpose.
You are still called, still seen, still worthy of His love.
And if this season feels slow or heavy, remember: slow healing is still healing. Every day you choose to breathe, whisper a prayer, or simply keep going — that is movement. That is growth.
God is not disappointed in you. He’s not waiting for the polished version of you. He is holding the real you — even here, even now.
And when you’re ready to take another step, I made something to walk with you.
The Soul Reset Checklist is a gentle guide you can keep by your Bible or bedside table.
On the days when everything feels too loud, it offers soft prompts to help you breathe, pray, and remember who you are in Christ.
No pressure. Just presence.
Because sometimes the most holy thing you can do is pause — and let God hold you.
Download your free Soul Reset Checklist below and let it remind you: you are not failing, you are healing — one small step at a time.
A Closing Prayer Just for You
Jesus,
Thank You for seeing me even when I feel invisible. For holding me when I feel undone. For whispering truth when my mind is noisy.
Help me to receive Your rest. Not the world’s version, but the holy, soul-deep rest that only You give.
Restore what anxiety has tried to steal. Remind me that I am still Yours.
Even here. Even now. Even in this.
Amen.
Wishing you grace in who you’re becoming,
Alberta
